The interface changed. The need didn't.

CyberLink's PowerDVD was the bundled DVD playback software for what felt like every optical drive ever sold. For a decade, watching a movie on a laptop on a long flight meant launching PowerDVD.

Quietly evolved into a Blu-ray and 4K player, but its cultural moment was the era of dorm-room DVD nights and on-flight movies before in-seat screens were standard.

LEGACY

The default movie-watching app on millions of PCs and laptops for over a decade.
