Who operates this site

OGs.monster is an independent cultural archive published by PromptFluid, a product line created by Kenneth E. Sweet Jr., and held under the KESJR Collective Domains group. We are not affiliated with any of the third-party brands, products, or companies referenced in the archive.

What we collect

OGs.monster is intentionally minimal. We do not run user accounts, sell products on-site, set advertising cookies, or operate cross-site trackers. The categories of data that may exist are:

  • Guestbook entries. When you voluntarily submit a handle and message to the guestbook, we store the handle, the message, and a timestamp in our database so the entry can be publicly displayed on the page you submitted it from.
  • Rate-limit hashes. To prevent spam and abuse of the guestbook, we store a salted SHA-256 hash of the visitor's IP address for up to two hours. The original IP is never written to the database. The hash cannot be reversed back to a real address.
  • Server and edge logs. Our hosting and edge providers may automatically record standard request metadata (timestamp, URL, user agent, approximate region, response status) for operational, security, and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not use this data for marketing.
  • Basic analytics. The site does not currently run a third-party analytics product. If we add one in the future, it will be a privacy-respecting, non-tracking analytics provider, and this policy will be updated.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small amount of browser localStorage for guestbook cooldown timing (so you don't accidentally double-submit). We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use information

Guestbook entries are displayed publicly. Rate-limit hashes are used only to throttle abusive submissions. Server logs are used to keep the site online and to investigate security incidents. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Guestbook entries are retained indefinitely as part of the public archive. Rate-limit hashes are deleted on a rolling 2-hour window. Server logs are retained per the standard retention window of our hosting providers.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the site, but no internet-facing service can be guaranteed 100% secure. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the guestbook.

External links and embeds

Source citations on each legend entry link to third-party sites (Wikipedia, the Internet Archive, news outlets). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children's privacy

The archive is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted a guestbook entry, contact us so we can remove it.

Your choices

You can request removal of a guestbook entry you submitted by contacting us with enough detail (handle, approximate timestamp, message excerpt) to identify it. Because submissions are anonymous, we cannot verify identity beyond the content of the entry itself.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Contact

Privacy inquiries can be directed to legends@cmpsbl.com or 214.548.0883. The archive is held within the parent collective at KESJR.com (same holder, same contact).
